Gabriel moved to Jackson Hole in 2020, bringing a rich musical background. He began his violin studies at age 11, later developing a passion for the viola during high school under the mentorship of renowned violist Hector Mercado Chapman. He also studied with Victor Defillo, nephew of Casals, further enhancing his skills.
Gabriel holds a degree in communications and music from the University of Puerto Rico, where he performed with the university orchestra and the Puerto Rico Symphony. His training includes masterclasses with prominent violists like Pierre Lenert from the Opéra National de Paris and study at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
Known for his warmth and patience, Gabriel continues to inspire his students through his passion for music. Outside of teaching, he enjoys the scenic beauty of Jackson Hole.
